I'm there! The dates are August1-7th. It really doesn't pick up until Wednesday. The place is packed with cars! There are 5000 registered cars and about 2500 unregistered cars running about the Reno-Sparks area! The best places are Atlantis,Peppermill, Hilton, and downtown Sparks. I avoid downtown Reno at all costs! They have a website out there if you'd like more info. I don't know it off the top of my head, but I'm sure if you tried doing a Google search, you'll find it.

1st-th 7th! yikes, it's right around the corner. i dont know if i will get what i want for my 'maro in the ten days the auction lasts. it's going on ebay friday so i will have it out there for the next two weekends and it ends on a sunday, when i'm home. i cant access ebay at work anymore. if i dont sell it i can either put split bumpers on it and try again or trailer it the 1000miles to reno, which i really dont want to do. i would say that is doubtfull because of my wife's neck injury. it just about killed her to ride 70 miles to issaquah last weekend. so i guess that means i aint gonna go after all. say hi to the millions of cops who dont let you drink on the streets or burn rubber. lest you forget, i was born and raised there, seene'm all and got to the point of leaving town when HAN showed up. last thing i drove down there specifically to see is the Air Races and that was cancelled in 9/2001. i may go down someday to see Burning man but since i just drove my truck down there this year and that's all i'd drive out to the dry lake bed, it might be awhile more. have a good time

it seems they will let you drink in plastic cups or did i read that wrong? but "no use of hydrolics or your registration will be revoked" is the kind of b.s. that you have to put up with. spoze they'll do the same if you burn rubber too. but i guess when you are dealing with 10's of thousands of people you have to be tough. doesnt look like they are having a car auction this year either, well, wasn't planning on going anyway. my favorite place was the A&W drive in on Keitzke Lane but it's closed. Sparks is always better than reno i thought

the few times I have gone, I have noticed that the "majority" of people that go there are the types that would be upset by hydraulics, anyways... there is a KILLER swap meet though, and everytime I see something I never thought I'd see... pretty much everywhere you go is a car show, since the majority of participants are staying in town.. I saw plenty of hydraulics and flame throwers the last time. I cant swing it this year, but maybe 2006 would be a good op for a HR.com meet....
