Hot battery ...... no power!
Hey guys, I finally got around to starting my '79 Trans Am today and when I tried.....nothing! Had the battery checked and its okay, but Im not getting any juice anywhere else, the lights won't even come on. Am I missing something here? I did have the steering column and fuse box out, but thought I put everything back correctly is there something that I should check? Thanks again.

Start checking for power from the battery terminals and work your way back slowly, maybe blew a fuseable link from battery to fuse box, would explain no lights.

How good is the ground connection? Thats as important as the positive side.
Might be a burnt wire from the starter to the rest of the car if thats where the connection for +12v is. At least check that with everything OFF, you have 12v down at the starter. Check from chasis to the big fat red wire coming from the battery. Then go from there

ok guys, im a complete idiot!! I thought the fuse box only mounted one way, I was wrong, turned it 180 degrees and i'm back in business. Sorry for my ignorance!
