First you need a real good coat of wax to help cleanup. As much abuse as the front of you vehicle gets, wax it often. Then I use windex or a cheap cleaner my wife gets at the 99cent store, amazing or something like that. Pre-treat and wash as usual when you wash your truck.

I have heard of people using detailing products on it... though it might make it shinier.

Flat black seems cheap and easy, but repairability is a bit challenging... and keeping it clean looking seems to be a challenge also. I have heard some complain that figerprints are even a problem.

I also seem to remember someone using dish soap to clean it.

cleaning hot rod black

If it is a catylized product, you can wash it with soap and water. The drawback is, the more you rub it trying to get stains etc. out, it gets shiny. It will be impossible to get out hard water deposits,so be aware of that when you wash.A little trick on getting slight scuffs off is take a paper towel with "wax and grease remover" purchased at any auto body supply store and lightly apply to paper towel to get out scuff mark and come right behind with dry towel.Remember to do this in the shade.
