Neal and Bob, great work as usual. I've injured my drawing hand, so won't be able to participate this month. Hope to be able to get back in next time around. Carry on, guys.

Brickyard, sorry to hear about your hand, hope it's not serious at all and is able to return to normal.

Remember guys this is basically a two month "Contest" so we have time because Feb is so short.

Thanks Bob, Mark. It seems like I have a weird tendon-nerve injury caused by shoveling snow! I was up on my roof shoveling two and a half feet of wet snow off my house roof for about 4 hours, and because I had such a tight grip on the shovel handle, it somehow effected the movement of the index and middle fingers. Both are numb and can't bend them. This has been a tough winter in New England. My primary care doc is sending me to to see a surgeon on March 3rd to check it out. I'm sure it will turn out fine.

I did this as a Valentines Day greeting card, but since the subject fits this months contest, I thought I'd add it here.....not for the contest, just adding some more photos for you all .....

Very nice, love the smokey brushes in the background and I can tell it had some beautiful "California Sunset Style Light" on it too, the original pic musta been nice also. I wait all year to get the cars in that light and we only have about 1 hour to make use of it just before twilight.

Thanks Mark ......for all the light they had, the original had so much digital noise in it. Tried to remove it without losing too much of the details ....

Wow, how could you get noise in that image with that light? I know you didn't take the shot but I have a program here for Canon Shooting that does an excellent job. None of those programs are free eunless you buy a full body SLR. You did a great jb of getting it right.

Thanks Mark ...... I've been using Topaz deNoise. Works fairly well, but sometimes you do lose too much of the details.

Canon's uses a camera profile from virtually any manufacturer, some of those noise reduction programs can be a little overzelous at taking too much with the noise so I Hear ya on that.
