Hotrodders Art Contest May Edition "50's Lead Sleds, Any Body Style"

Last month, Member Brickyardboy took the contest all to himself in a well voted on "Movie Cars" competitin, this moth it's his choice to do "50's Lead Sleds, Any Body Style" as long as it's chopped, channeled and slammed like a sled; doesn't have to be a Merc or Ford, get creative!! All of the artists faired well last month and a good show of a tough subject.



All members inputs would always be appreciated to take on a project also so feel free to inject your thoughts into this as a Hotrodders.com member.

Competition starts now and ends on the May 26th, voting will begin on the 26th leaving 5 days for voting as the poll will end afterwards by itself.

Below are some non Ford and Merc ideas, members please join in for isnspiration !!

I thought for sure last month you'd be doing the "Vanishing Point Challenger" so I passed on that one, lol.

I had the idea to do "Gran Torino" from the movie but just didn't have an idea.

Well after Ecto1 one had already been entered, you had me second guessing every car I could think of. That's why the General Lee is unfinished along with several other movie cars. I got to the point of trying to get a movie car that would be old, but still very. recognizable

It would have been cool to see your rendition of the etoc-1,

I figured when you had the cuda, you mentioned challenger ( my own personal favorite car ) nice to know I owned a T/A chalenger and simply destroyed it by making it a hot rod and selling off all those really rare parts for nothing. Same went for my 69 ss/rs 396 Camaro, totally trashed it.

I cheated a little here, I roughed this image in a while back for a thread on another board and I also did not take the original photo. I slammed it, chopped it from stock in the front to 3-4 inches in the rear, I shaved it, skirted it, added lakes pipes and Cadillac dagmars. I also moved the portholes to create a lower look as well as shave the upper taillights.

If I could use the program better I would paint it too

Welcome to the contest Evil Dead, I actually notice the way the portholes make it look lower, food for thought definately, please hang in the thread with us and we enjoy having you, nice clean touches and surely it's a sled, not to mention a Buick too !!

congrats brickyardboy on last months contest! Great subject this month! I'm finally back for a while so I think I can get in the contest this month.

I did this 50' custom last summer so it is not my entry. My Dad wants me to do a 3/4 front view so that will be my entry when its done!
