How to adjust kick down

What is the proper way to adjust the kickdown. I have a 727 trans, Holley 670 Street Advenger and Lockar adjustable cable. It's been awhile and I'm not sure.

Ok I figured it out and now everything works fine except.....I have kickdown under 40 mph but any faster it won't drop from 3rd to 2nd with foot planted to the floor. Is this still in the adjustment? It would be nice to have passing gear on the highway.

Hold the trottle wide open with your hand, the kickdown should be tight when it is wide open. Always adjsut your kickdown with the throttle held wide open, this way it will kick down at wide open throttle, like it's supposed to.
