Being more clear...While in a perfect world we should not need to scuff or tack between coats of base and clear we do need to inspect between coats to see that no bugs or dust bunnies have up and bit us..and if so we need to fix that issue before proceeding with the paint job...then if one has been bitten then we do what we have to do..
