DUDE! Hey JeffE ....search "rwruther" on youtube to see all the stuff I did/do on my 39 Pontiac. Regarding the steering arms, I built a jig out of steel. The jig held both arms. Then I heated them one at a time using a torch, I bent them using the jig so they would be identical. I have had no problems regarding the steering arms. send me some pictures of the 48 at rwruther@wowway.com I will send you some pictures of the jig if you want.

Hey guys I am new around here but i have been building for a few years. I have built a few air ride mini trucks and we run into this all the time what we do is notch the frame by boxing it in and plating both sides with 1/4" plate. I have never had a problem with it. I will try to dig up a picture of what I am talking about.
