Post How can I make a chrome windscreen surround?

Anyone got any ideas on making a chrome windscreen surround on my Deuce.

My deuce has a 2.5 inch roof chop. Most Deuce's in the UK have a 3.5 ish chop, therefore the only company I know makes chrome surrounds for the 3.5. They wont make me a one off.

I've seen some chromed plastic shower tile finishing strips which look about the right size and I was thinking that I might be able to bend it to the right contour using a heat gun. Only thing is, I reckon, the heat would discolour the chrome finish.

The stuffs quite expensive to buy so I thought I'd get your advice first.

Can you have your frame chromed? Fabricating one out of stainless or aluminum (provided you can get the joints welded) would look pretty good polished and would be easier to take care of.

HEY DEUCE: There was an article in Rod & Custom magazine about a guy making window trim on a deuce with a product called Flex-Chrome. I have their website at my office I will post it for you in the morning. Sleep tight. DAVE SHANK
