How can i tell if my holley has power vave protection

I have a BBC with a Holley 750 #80508-1, model 4160 I think the power valves are leaking gas into the engine when the engine is turned off. I plan to by a renew kit next week, but how can i tell if it has the power valve protection. This is not a very old looking carb (i bought it used) so not sure if it has laying around for some time. I do not wish to spend the money, if this will just happen again. I may just switch to a Q-jet if i can not figure this out.

As far as I can tell it does have the power valve protection. http://www.holley.com/0-80508S.asp

You may have to lower your float level a bit. The pressure may be overpowering the needle and seat allowing fuel to seep by. I really don't think it is the power valves. Just a thought.
