I used one of those plastic flexible rulers to apply another layer of bondo (No it isn't 1 inch worth of bondo, only 1/8-1/16 thick) and used the flexible ruler to contour with the curves of the panel. I'm going to let it dry and give it the feel test one more time. I think this might just work.
