how to clean a gas tank

I have a 1970 Ford SB PU that has been in storage for the last six years while i was stationed in Germany and would like some info on what to use to clean all the varnished gasoline out.

There is a old radiator shop near my home and he always is happy to boil out any old gas tanks I need. He changes 25 to 40 dollars and they come out looking clean as new ...

X2 Just had the tank for my Dodge boiled out by a local radiator shop and for a 48 year old tank it looks great.
