How did your day start?

Coming home from work 6:30 this morning and I catch movement just at the edge of my headlight beam and a brief glimpse of a nice 6 pointer slamming head first into the left front corner of my truck..............

Already have a door located and ordered ANOTHER new grille, sidemarkers and air dam. Those were a whole 4 weeks old. Just need to locate a good OEM fender. He got the hood too but it was already less than mint and I had picked up another one a couple weeks ago.

Bummer! At least mine is an old truck. My deer had enough adrenaline pumping he took off but I'm sure the coyotes are having a feast tonight.

I had a hunch I'd get one before the year was out with as many as I see going to and from work every week. One of the few times I wish I was wrong. The ironic part is I took a different route to avoid deer, this was in a populated area. I don't think my Grand Am would have faired nearly as well but I would have been a lot less upset if it got banged up.

It sucks but consider yourself lucky. First off, you aren't the deer. Secondly that is the only damage you got and YOU are ok. I had a truck at the shop last month that was hit by three or four deer! No kidding, he saw a group jumping over the center divider into the side of this truck, there was damage from headlight to tail light.

LOLOL, holy crap, I have seen a few pieces but nothing like that. Back years ago I did a lot of custom Volkswagon Bugs. I had one customer who came back over and over for me to do more custom stuff on his car, it was a neat little car, 63ish I don't remember the exact year. But one day after it finally got painted he hit a COW! Now, a lowered VW Bug makes for a great "scoop" like device. This kid came close to getting killed that day, the cow went up the hood and smashed the roof down something BAD. We are talking bent to where the door window frame was bent, I mean smashed down! There was a little meat around that one.
