How difficult is it to set up a powerglide?

I have never been in a transmission of any kind, but I am mechanical (see journal). How tough is the Powerglide Transmission? I want to buy a SFI case and fill it with good components. Will I need special tools? Is it real tough to get it right?

get you a transmission manual and go for it. they are the simplest of auto transmissions very easy to work on.
