years ago , back in the early 60,s, i had a 35 ford coupe that i was working on. i painted the firewall bright red before i installed a flathead with 3 2 barrel carbs. a friend of my older brother wanted me to repair the rust and paint his 1951 ford panel. i didn't want to do it because he wanted a quality paint job for an earl shibe price. my older brother told him that he could fix the rust and paint the panel truck for $20 . my brothe bought 2 quarts of cheap black paint, and he filled the rocker panels with window putty that he got from a 5 gal can he found on the dump. he painted the panel truck with a very cheap speedy spray gun. he left the door up on the garage. when he got done painting, due to the wind blowing on the cottenwood trees, the panel truck looked like it was tared and feathered. A $20 PAINT JOB. that is a true story. enjoy!!
