Sorry for the stupid question but how do I add pictures in my post.

First you have to upload the picture to your photo gallery here at HR.Com or some other web host such as Photobucket.

Once the photo is uploaded, click on it (to enlarge it) and then right click on the photo and select "copy image location"

Then go to your post and type [img]

then paste the location address you copied above immediately after the [img]

Immediately after the address type [/img] (note the forward slash...it MUST be there. Also the [] box MUST be there.)

Hit the Preview Post button below your editing box just to make sure the photo is as you want it.

And you're good to go.

sorry to keep bothering but i just can't get it to work. I pull up a picture and right click on it and copy...go back to post type in [img]....when i right click to paste its not there........so i tried opening the picture..right click copy shortcut....type in [img]....right click paste... this brings up an address but not a picture..

how in the world do i make this work....please help i would like to know how to do this.

Complete edit: I just saw that you have a photo gallery.

I click picture 1...that enlarges it.

Then I right click and go to properties. I left click and highlight the URL for the picture (in blue). I right click on the blue and copy. I click on the image tag at the top of the post and right click paste the URL there.

When you right click on the picture you get a menu. Make sure you select "Copy Image Location" and NOT "Copy LINK Location" If you copy the link location it will just come up as an address in your post...or not at all. (BTW, I make this mistake all the time when I get in a hurry and don't watch what I am doing.) Brian B's technique will also work, it's just an extra step to go to the properties page.

That is interesting, it must you our operating systems are different. Mine doesn't say anything like that, it says "Properties". That is what I have always used, it is the URL to the photo. Here is the Hotrodders logo,

The other way of posting a photo of course is to simple click on "Manage attachments" and then "Browse" and go to where the photo is stored in your computer then open it, "Upload" and there it will be in your post like below.
