how do i change out turn signal switch???

my turn signal switch is going bad and im needing to change it out with a new one..it will push down and left signal will work but if i push up it wont do nothing.. i used to have to hold it up every time i wanted a right signal but now nothing..how do you change it out and where would be a good place to find a new one ..im working on a 85 el camino .... thanks guys

You must remove the steering wheel to get to the turn signal switch.

like he said and the parts are common , and found @ auto zombie,pet boys to name a few...... get the tool/puller, there is a snap ring that holds it in place after the steering wheel has been removed.

ok u have to take off the steering wheel diconnect the turn signal switch theres about a dozen screws to remove, unplug the swtich from the wire harness, (just move to the side) then u have to drop the colum the remove the steel rod the goes from the switch to the hi beam swtich at the base of the colum, pulll out the turn signal arm and the switch should come out
