How high a compression ratio can you run with the sunoco 94 with normal distributor advance settings? ( I remember guys putting sunoco 260 in their volkswagen beetles for more imagined power,later burning the valves of course)

The peanut port heads will support over 500 hp withe right parts, thats without any port work. Only a casting flash clean up on the ports. A pro comp air gap dual plane or a Edelbrock air gap performer rpm. A good cheap cam would be a summit k-1303 w 540 lift 238x248 duration at 0.50 lift 114 lobe seperation. good aluminum 1.7:1 ratio roller rockers. 5/16 harden push rods, 9.0:1 compression. Headman 1 3/4" primary pipes, 2 1/2" collectors and pipes with good free flowing with turbo mufflers. HEI distribiter with mechanickal advance all in by 2200 rpm. No vacuum advance. 65000 volt coil. over 500 hp at 5500 rpm, and over 550 ft lbs torque at 4200 rpm. This is all computer estamated given the parts used. So I threw in all the part's that I thought would make 500 hp and sure enough after a couple of different combos with computer hep made the said power. So that artical in super chever with the 446 hp at 4900 rpm is a bad *** street engine no matter how you slice it.

I think your mention of 1 3/4 header pipes is not correct,same with 2 1/2 collectors
Could you show the math on getting 500 HP from peanut port heads? which ones?how many CFM in stock peanut port heads?
are you sure those cam specs are correct for a mild engine?
why is the full spark advance in at 2200 rpm?

The engine was probably was getting close to burning a valve anyway maybe running lean and then you ran the sunoco 260. TheY AIN'T going to say nothing!?!? Your are not the only one that has gotten shafted. so I hope you get something for your misfortune

you say you know more than me, so why ask me!?!?!?the pp # 360 no port mork just the way gm manufctored them. the flow data is. Edelbrock Victor intake 750 dp holley. The cam specs are 560/580 split 248/254duration at .050, 110 degree lobe seperation. The dyno headers were 2 1/4" primary. They claim that with the need of bottom and mid range torque that the 1 3/4 headers are fine as long as you keep rpm at 5500 rpm. Actual hp and torque 512 hp at 5800 rpm and 514 ft lbs torque at 4800 rpm I hope this helps

let it go man you act like your still a kid over nothing that concerns you. The flow of a head and a cam profile go hand in hand. Small heads bigger cam higher rpm. More head flow less cam timing.John lenginfelter made over 600 hp from peanut port heads. Using a 502 bbc. He opened up the intake port to match a single plane intake. With a gradual neck back down to the pp's size. Added bigger valves. Thats it to the heads. So 500 plus hp with a 454 is nothing new.

Arless,when post incorrect info wether intentionally,or,even just from not knowing any better,someone here is gonna call ya on it.Even if not necessarily incorrect,but,anything contrary to what makes good sense.Some of your posts have been,for lack of a better word,unbelievable.Not everyone has to agree & often times we don't.Some of us have different ideas & can think outside of the box.However,when you make the claims,you should be able to back it up somehow,someway.You don't offer anything except wild exaggerated claims & then seem to get upset when someone questions you,or,asks you to validate or show some proof.It seems that you have some type of simulator program your playin with & posting the results here as actual builds & experience.IDK.These builds prolly only exist on your hard drive.If that's the case.Either your program needs some tweaking,or,data entry needs to do a better job.IDK for sure,but,I think it would be a safe bet to say that the JY 8:1 CR 500+ HP 454 you claim to have had dynoed & goes 8 seconds in your Chevelle is really exists on your computer since several ppl requested dyno sheets,time slips,etc,but,got nuthin except an attitude from you.If I had built that motor,i'd have proof posted everywhere.I apologize in advance if you prove me wrong.
