Before making that decision, consider what vehicle this is going in (I don't see that mentioned anywhere in these posts).

180 would likely RPM limit you but provide great torque and clearly great HP: 450HP!!

195 would have a better chance of winding all the way upstairs to make that 500HP Naturally Aspirated. You'll need a different cam, titanium retainers, stiffer springs, super good lifters, sacrifice low end grunt.

Unless this is a really light car, or strip set-up; I would think you'd be happier with the 180.
This is my opinion, I'm not telling you what to do, and you shouldn't make your decision based off of what I'm telling you.

Put up some more info about the intended car, and intended use, and you might receive more answers. Goodluck

With those facts and your last few posts, I say 195's, no way will the 180's make you happy if you are thinking of any strip action at all.

for the converter you have and with you wanting to stay below 6500rpm i think this cam would suit you well.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HRS-110265/

i still think that a solid roller might fit a little better but this cam has some pretty nice specs and should put you shifting at about 6300-6400rpm. and your stall is 3000 rpm which is 600 rpm above the begining of the cams operating range which is perfect. with this cam i would certainly go with the AFR 195's and nothing less, i think this cam with those heads and about 10.5ish:1 compression that you should be close to your hp goal, my personal estimate would be about 475hp, (as long as those AFR's can flow about 265-270cfm @ .550"ish lift, and i'm talking real world not advertised numbers)

personally i wouldn't go with a larger cam than this unless i was going to use a solid roller cam, but that is just my opinion

a cast steel SCAT crank can easily handle 6500rpm, maybe even some 7000rpm but not for extended periods of time like in circle track

Myself and others have had no problems with 3.48" and 3.75" Scat cast steel cranks run to 8000 rpm in street/strip engines, the 3.48" stroke engine has seen 8400 repeatedly for a few summers with no problem. Cars have been in the 10's 1/4 mile and hit with 200hp nitrous regularly too, no problems with the cranks.

Using light pistons/rods makes a big difference.

I wouldn't try 7500 rpm constant with these cranks in a circle track car unless you want to take the chance, I have no experience with roundy motors.
