Do you have yearly inspections? If not just have them cut out. If you do, and you live in a small town just find a mechanic shop that doesn't care about exhaust and tred depth and such(there are alot of people who doesn't check that stuff, I should know) and they will pass ya. Or you can just weld on some heat sheilds. And to answer your question you'll have to cut the pipe after the cat and ram a pipe through it.I had trouble doing mine so I just had heat sheilds welded on from the local muffler shop that they already had from previous cat removal, and after Oklahoma quit the yearly inspections I just ripped 'em off.
