how do i narrow my rear end?
i'm doing a mini tube & i'm going to use a 325/50-15 rear tire. i'm wanting to cut about three inches off each side of my rear end, so i can put a deeper wheel on it (less backspacing). it's a chrysler 8 3/8 rear in my 65 belvedere. can i use a big tubbing cutter & take out what i need & re-weld the ends back on, or is their a more complicated way that this needs to be done? anyone with pictures care to jump in on this?
