how expensive are roll up doors ?

hi guys i'm in the process of gathering up pieces to build a garage.
I recently done a favor for our community hockey rink and they gave me an 8 ft wide by 10 feet high roll up commercial door.it's the one with the set of chain falls on the side.
i have the door complete and rolling but no c channel for the sides.it's 2 inches thick with the sections being about 6 inches long, made of aluminum inside and out and filled with foam.
I have no idea what this door is worth, anyone out there familiar with this style?lemme know what it's worth. mike

Does this door rool up in a ball above the opening? If so you have a rolling door. You need to find out what brand door it is , Than you can find out how long to make the guides (side tracks) . If you were to buy this door new i could set you back 2000.00 or so. The major items you need are The door curtain, the barrel and the guides some also come with a hood that goes over the barrel. it's like a toilet paper roll, it rolls down by use of a long loop of chain.the roller is there, the door is attached to the roll and goes up and down as you pull the chain.the door itself is complete and working,. there is no cover for over the rolled up section(do i need it?)and there are no legs(guides)to run in.
i need to find a truck to take it home as it won't fit on a half ton,i worked at a lumber yard across the street so i may be able to get a ride home for it there.
once i find the name i'll get the guides ordered in.
this door looks awfully heavy to hang on a wood wall. does the channel stand under the bulk and support it , or does it just hang off the bolts??i'll have more info when i get it home.thanks, mike

The doorforklift is used to hang it hange off the wall. usually a fork lift is used to hang it. If you have the cash hire a door company to hang it.

Mueller had steel roofing and buildings but I didn't see anything about over head doors.
You might want to try these people, they do ALOT of work around here.
OverHead Door Co.
Later,
