how to get straight straight panels ?

hey guys on a old mk2 rabbit resto

done all bodywork/welding ...skimed all repairs with rage gold sanded with 80g as the rest of the car

after it was all blocked/guide coated/blocked again with 80 on a long 3m purple board 16.5"

left overnight for all solvents to come out filler and applied 1 coat of lesonal epoxy primer ...followed tec sheet and applied 2 coats of lesonal pollyester primer and while wet gave it a nice dust as a guide coat leaving this in the booth for a week to flash off good

BUT

I want it straight i was always told corse paper = straight car so

lesonal tec sheet says start a 180-220 then prime with 2k

what would be the best way to go on this guys ?

thanks

I would block it out with 180g then prime w/ 2k. I would then wet sand it w/400 wet. When you get a panel blocked w/400 clean it up with water and look down it while wet, If it's wavy you'll see it and the you can fix it with 2k spot putty, spot prime it and check your work again after blocking with 400. The darker the 2k primer is the easier it will be to see what it looks like.
