How hard is it to swap tail shafts in 700R4

I am trying to fix the transmission in my '86 Suburbon 4wd. I have an' 88 Chevy car in the garage with a 700R4 but tail shafts are different lengths. How hard would it be to swap shafts or change things arround to make it work?

Well if I'm going to do all that I may as well just rebuild the one thats in there. I might have one to swap out of an other 4wd into mine.
