When i look at some classic hot rods, i see the top lower on some cars than others. i like the lower top and was wondering what car i should use to get this look, and what to do to it.
and another shot if it

Thanks a lot,

The car you have the link to is not a production car. It is a hand built vehicle designed to look like an older (30's) Ford.

The answer to your question though is to "Chop" the top. This involves removing a section of the top and lowering it back down. The sheetmetal is then welded back and finished and the glass is cut to fit.

You can chop any car as well... in very basic terms you just brace the body and cut the whole top off. Then decide how much of the A,B,C pillars you want to remove and then fit the top back on.

All you need is a saw-zall and a welder and the stones to hack the roof off a car.

From what I've heard chopping the top is no easy thing. Specially on cars with compound curves and 4-doors. I'd try it on a beater first, say a cheap 70's beater. Or even better, try it on a chevy
