How to hook up original 1950 Chevy fleetline speedometer to T-350 tranny?

Title says it all. I havent really dug into it yet, just did some researching across other forums to see if it will work, but i couldn't find anything too in depth on the subject.
First off, I have the orginal speedometer and speedometer cable in the car (attached to the speedo not the tranny). My question is, will this cable mate to the th350 tranny? If not, will a th350 speedo cable mate to the original 1950 speedo? If neither of those work, do they make any sort of adapter fittings (either for the tranny side or speedo side) of the cable so the two will mate?

Not sure if yours will fit, but my 51 Ford F1 speedo cable mated up to a T350 Chevy trans.

Cool, that's what I'm hoping is the deal here with mine. I haven't had a chance to screw with it lately, but I'm definitely going to this weekend. I don't see why there would be much of a difference between an early 50's chevy and a 50's ford speedo cable.

It will probably will work just fine. If not go to a speedometer shop and they can make you a cable and housing with whichever ends you might. need. When it comes time to calibrate your speedo the driven gear in the trans changes about 3miles/tooth.

Worked fine on a 350/Powerglide (aluminum) into a 51 Chevrolet Bus Coupe; just had to give it a little tug to reach is all. Butch/junior stocker.
