I am curently installing a 5.3l into my 2000 GMC. I have cold air intake, shorty hedders, true duel exhaust, no cats, electric fan, msd wires, and iridium plugs. The next thing is the cam, but I'm not sure what to get. I like what i've heard about the VooDoo cams but i still want that shakin hotrod sound. Are there any sugestions, or should i just go with what i know runs good.
See how big of a cam your engine computer can handle. Too big a cam and your truck will run like crap. Might have to have a computer chip burnt for it to be able to run a cam with that hot rod sound.
yea, I'm trying to avoid that right now. I don't have enough money for both.
