How to install windsheild glass on 1953 chevy truck ?

Don't know if this will help but you need atleast a 3/8 nylon rope enough to circul the window with atleast 12 inches to pull place gromet or gasket on the glass as it were siting in the truck .then lube the channel well with dish soap that's what I use so after its in it will clean up with water and don't hurt the paint or chrome.to start the install be sure ruber gasket is in proper place on window with the rope in the grove that the pinch joint gos in then set the bottom edge of glass on lower joint hold glass into position get both ends of rope and pull out as gromet seats make sure that you have both ends at bottom center befor you start to pull out you will need someone to push presure from outside as the rope is removed be very careful on the corners .the rope wil roll the window gromet over the pich joint as it is pulled out this makes the job a lot easyer don't use drivers or blont objects use plastic bondo knife ect one the glass and gromet are in on botom pat the glass from uotside gently the get it well seated pull even on rope let the gromet go in even on both sides and work your way to top center .
