How to lock distributor ??

I have a Mallory Ignition 3248201 - Mallory Comp S/S 32 Series Distributors, for small block chevy. I need to make the distributor full locked. I need 36 degre at idle...

Some people tell me to tack weld it and other to drill a hole and put a roller pin in the hole

Does anybody can tell me or have a picture where I have to drill a hole or tack weld the distributor

I prefered if it's possible to have an illustration or picture of where I have to do it...or how to do it plz...

Chevy man forever!

ANy way is fine, search this site and you'll find pics. Some guys just use 2 zip ties to hold the mechanism in place. Welded is the best way to guarantee no movement but not so easy to undue. After its locked just turn the distributor to get the the full advance and you're done

This is how I have mine although its not my photo:

Thats a flat piece of metal that holds everything in place and easily removable
