how long do you have to recoat clearcoat

so im trying to do the custom painter thing and i sprayed some clear coat and let it sit for about 11 hours and im wanting to spray more clear on it.how long do i have to recoat?The flash time for the nason clear im using is 15min,30 min dust free and 8 hours to air dry.

It would be just fine now, as long as it is fully cured (it has been exposed to 65 degrees or more) and there is enough film build (a few coats minimum).

You could reclear now. How ever if all your doing is puting more clear on top of what you have without sanding what you have already done. All your doing is adding mil thickness to your job making a weak link in your paint job. True you will get more depth but at what cost? What you should do at this point if you have at least three coats of clear down. Is to block sand wet with 400-1000 grit taking off maybe a coat or two but dont cut though or sand though any edges or it will need repair. Then clean up good and remask if needed put down three more coat. Now cut and buff when dry.

thank you all for the help.I found out that you can recoat clearcoat up to 16hrs without scuffing.If you wait longer than 16 hours you have to scuff the clear before you reclear.thanks again and i love this sight.
