How long do you think it'll last?
Hello all,
I have a 66 Caddy that had a vinyl roof which upon removal had some pretty major rust (surface, pits, holes) on the sail panels. I've cleaned up the majority of the rust with a wire wheel and some naval jelly and have welded the holes. My next step was to apply some tiger hair. My question is that in some areas there is still some rust that just doesn't seem to want to come out of the pits. I know ideally I should cut it out and fabricate a patch panel, but how long do you guys think it'll last if I went ahead and fiberglassed the whole sail panel? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |
