How to make a console

I looking for instructions on how to build a custom console. A friend has a chopped 46 Ford coupe that needs a console and we need some ideas on how to approuch this project.

i did my interior in fiberglass
i learned all i know about glass from fiberglassforums.com link to my build there

It's not a full console, but I made a shorter one for my sedan, also of fiberglass. I shaped pink builder's foam to the shape I wanted, covered it with aluminum foil, then laid fiberglass matt/resin over it. I smoothed it up with some body filler, primed and painted it. Pretty easy. I also made a dash extension to hold my A/C vents.

I always start by using big pc's of cardboard and make a template, it usually takes several boxes b4 starting with the board
