I am just starting out in learning how to paint.I have a truck that i want to paint myself.I have a Devilbiss JGA 502 and all i hear is that "Its a good primer gun".I understand that tip sizes matter, i dont dispute that. But how much is "technique" a factor? Can you just make adjustments at the gun to do primer and bc/cc?
I primed the interior side of the door yesterday and then also put a basecoat on.It seemed to go on really good.I did have to make some adjustments to spray the color. And it was a metallic.I thought i was going to really mess it up.It was the first time i sprayed a metallic.I have not tried to spray a clearcoat.I am not going to cc my interior.I want the semi gloss finish that the bc has.
Thanks
