how much horsepower to expect

Could someone help me. ive got a 355 engine but i dont know about what power range it has. All i know about it is, it has a forged crank, forged TRW 10.1 pistons, a lunati 292 adv. duration cam, im not sure on the lift, old 041 casting # chevy heads. An edelbrock performer intake, and a Holley 750 carb. Could someone possibly run that on a dyno sim or something and give me an idea of what kind of power i can expect? it would be much appreciated.. and also give me some possible ideas of what to do to squeeze some more power out of it. And could someone tell me if i can use 1.6 rockers with those stock heads without any problems? Thanks alot!

As far as squeezing some more power out of it, aftermarket heads would definately add some good HP and torque...Do you have headers?

Assuming a well speced engine, I guess around 325- 350 at 5000 and 350 torque at about the same RPM. 1.6 rockers won't work if the stock spring perches are used.

It has headers, new 50 kv distributor, im guessing the cam has around a .480 lift at the valve. heads as far as i know are stock with 64cc comb. chambers. Im thinking about getting an edelbrock rpm intake, a new carb, and roller rockers. It has the tall type valve covers. what exactly will i have to do to accomodate 1.6 rockers? im trying to get closer to the 400 hp mark, what do i have to do?? thanks

oh and ive also been having a bad vapor lock problem,, im pretty sure its because the headers are pretty close to the fuel line, right now i have a few clothespins and some tin foil placed between the line and the headers. IT seemed to help a little, what else can i do? thanks

Machine down the valve guide bosses and possibly different spring keepers. That depends on what kind you have now.

Wrap the fuel line in insulation. Old A/C unit's have the stuff wrapped around the pipes. Or you can buy new from any part's house.
