How much hp and torque?

Im rebuilding a '94 chevy silverado - 350cid and my question is how much horsepower and torque will give a nice ride and performance? I was thinking around 350-375 hp and 300-350lb/ft torque. It will be used to drive a few times a week but is not my primary transportation.
I want to have a nice sounding and running engine that can perform when cruising around.

Thanks for any advice!

Its a heavy vehicle, and you may want to tow with it also.
I would go with a HT383 crate motor

383 cubic inches,
Horsepower ..................... 340 @ 4500 RPM
Torque .......................... 435 @ 4000 RPM
Max. Recommended RPM ..... 5000 RPM
Compression Ratio ............. 9.1:1

You can build your own also, the link has all the part numbers you need to do it yourself.

If you wish to keep the efi the HT383E is a good choice if you add a 96 and up intake.
OR you can use the HT383 crate motor and sell the intake from it and add This intake

I think you would enjoy this engine combination, a torque curve that is darn near flat and adequate hp too.
