How much should I be paying????

I have a 1970 Chevrolet C10, I want a good paint job/paint. I just looked at the SHerwin williams Galaxy i believe and it was 198 a gallon. Is this about average.

What brand should I go with?

How many gallons do I need? I am painting the inside of my bed the interior and all the undersides(under hood, cowl, wheel wells, etc) by myself with a heavy equipment enamel. So all there is to paint with autmotive paint is stricly the outside of the body.

I want the super gloss possibly as glossy as the candy coat but not sure, what achieves this? How much will I be paying for the clearcoat?

Last how much should I be paying for a good paint job.

A good paint job can run the gammot. I have seen $7000 paint jobs that look like $800 paint jobs, then I have seen $800 paint jobs that looked like $7000 jobs. Quality paint is expensive, any brand. You can save a ton of money by doing all the body and prep work yourself.

I agree 100%.Price depends on the color.Red and yellow are the most expensive because of the pigments.White and black are the cheapest.Metallics and pearls add to the price. But always buy the best product you can afford.I prefer PPG,Matrix and R&M.
