I have to agree !!!!!!!

Here's a little something that I live by to push me to keep pushing forward..

The road to success is not straight. There is a curb called Failure, a loop called Confusion; speed bumps called Friends; red lights called Enemies;caution lights called Family. You will have flats called jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination; an engine called Perseverance; insurance called Faith, and a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success!!

64 here..
Spent Christmas holidays..and New Years..completely changing my shop..then put it back together..
Needed more room to do some guitar builds..and my car projects..and bikes..

Today the other garage..pulled tons of stuff out..cleaning to make more room for the next project..

Two projects ready..
1976 Nova..showing son how to do many things..
Then we'll start the LS1 into my 1975 280Z (bought new)..

After that..maybe take out the LT1..put in LS motor into my 1953 Studebaker Coupe..
And then I need to re do the interior on my 1952 Jaguar XK120se

Ain't got time to be too old..and besides..
It would be boring as death..

496chev..us sugar babies (also diabetic) still get stuff done.. I got the grim outlook 10 years ago from my doctor too..
I got lucky..8 pills a day..4/5 days a week in gym and heart and kidneys are OK..

I hope for the best for you..a tough guy..just keep doing it man..

How old is too OLD------I have been building since the 60s---I have a whole lot of pains today I never thought exsisted way back when--- but can't think of anything I would rather do then tinker with a Hot Rod---the fact that I would never be able to do that is something I try not to think about---I work through the pain because the happiness that I get from my work is my pain medication---better then any doctor I have seen.
Thank You

I'll be 60 this year. I retired at 50 and became a slacker. This year after a 10 year break from working on my cars I'm putting together a bucket list of what needs to be done. Ive got 3 more cars that need finished.

Welcome to the forum dinogary. I think probably working through the pain is the very best thing we can do for our health. If we didn't the arthritis would get the best of us a whole lot faster. Let's keep tinkering.

I know what you mean. My wife just made me take a tablespoon of vinegar because the fingers on my right hand are locking up. Old age may be tough but I am not ready to try the alternatives.

Well ,I turned 72 less than a week ago. I've got two projects going right now,#1 is a '27 Ford lakes modified roadster,it's about 60% now and #2 is a '68 Ford Country Sedan. It's a 390, C6 runner but it needs paint. I've got a 428 back up motor I'd like to get in to the car some time soon. My 9 year old grand son is
after me to get started on a 31 Mod. A P/U thats sitting in the barn,so he will have a hot rod to drive when
he gets his drivers license. I just hope I've got enough time left on the clock, to finish every thing.

....................Jack

When I think of how much time I put into a project before some show or event and I found I was behind back when I was in my twenties it kinda sucks. I remember for many weeks staying out in the garage or at the shop until 1 or 2 in the morning every day! If I did that today I would be dead. I did do it up until about 10-10:30 last year a week or so before the Goodguys to get the Rambler done and I was pretty proud of myself.
