I feel old. I re-built my first motor at a whopping age of 23. 22R Toyota motor and converted from manual to electric fuel pump. The cover for the manual fuel pump hole was made of plastic (as provided by a parts store) and ended up melting pulling a small hill at 65 mph w/ 600 miles into it. No oil= No motor...that sucked. Only lost one bearing thankfully. Covered the whole with stock 1/8" steel w/ two drilled holes. (shoulda done that in the first place).
Oh well, that's my story. Live and learn. |

Regaurdless of age, you still have a lot to learn.
I was 16 when I first opened the hood of a car... 18 when I actually started to do any work/maintenance on motors, 22 when I took out my first motor, 23 when I built my first custom 4-1 header. I've done very little work on V8's, I mostly work on 4cyl, Toyotas and Hondas. The is an old (I think) Dodge truck that my grandparents in Australia own... It looks 1960ish, it had a wooden bed and a big orange light on top... I guess it was a work truck. Anyways when I visit them next I plan to do some restoration on it and maybe see if I can get it to run. I'm not going to sit in it till it's fumigated... that thing is full of spiders... and who knows what else.

Sorry it took me forever to reply ..... As for you guys, I must also mention now that it was bored and stroked to a 347ci (My first engine), but I still say that my 434ci is a 350ci, so it's common for me, sorry for confusion ...
#2 ... We dyno'd it before we put it into the Splash, as it was on a stand due to that being the ONLY way to ****ing dyno a damn engine for flywheel hp .... #3 ... We took it out of a friend's wrecked 1983 Ford F-150 stepside as he didn't know what to do with it #4 ... Leave the ****ing ******* comments out and just ask for more details, I have 100% proof of everything I say due to some bad mistakes I've made and got burned ... #5 ... Thanks all for all of these replys |

Oh and P.S. - The original post was not an exageration or mis-lead of any kind. The numbers were fact and dead on.
Ok, now I'm pissed .... Whoever wants to call me and talk to me if that'll make you feel better, call me, because I'm not going to be on these forums much longer... Here is my phone number (417) 830-3270 Ask me anything you want, come to my house if you call me first, I'll show you dyno sheets, pictures (not digital, photo-album pictures) with my brother and I both in them, I'll have my brother come down from fuking St. Louis (I really want him to anyways) as he was the one helping, not my dad, and we both put in 50 -50 % effort, it was his first engine rebuild/build-up also and it was all his idea, I just had the skill and love for it. I'm in Ash Grove, Missouri so that is Central time in the U.S. -- Try to call before 8:00 a.m. and/or after 3:30 p.m. if you want to talk to me, but otherwise you'll be leaving a message |

Take it easy....
I don't think anybody REALLY wants you to leave. If you didn't do it, then you're only hurting yourself. If you did it, then you don't have to prove it to anybody here.
I apologize for my remarks, Pencilneck314 |

It's not just you, it's alot of people, plus, yes I DO have to prove it, and to everyone here. I'm just that way, I have proof of everything I've ever said or typed since I was in 4th grade because I was caught lieing about something and got 2 weeks of ISS in school, which sucked ***...
I would like to thank Killer and the others that backed me or even sort of backed me (too many posts to go back and read them all again to figure out though, sorry. |

Instead of ruffling your feathers all up and spitting into the wind, why don't you just post a picture of your dyno sheet?...Dude.
I wouldn't be posting your home phone number either. There are weirdos out there that don't like punk kids talking poo poo. It doesn't bother me any though. It isn't good to post your number anyway. |

Ah, it's my business phone (cell phone), I build custom computers and am the not-so-proud owner of SS Computers. That's where you can reach me though, that's not the home phone.
Plus, I don't care if anyone does know where I live, I really like getting to know car enthusiasts, but if anyone ever got on my property that I didn't like, that's what my 12 guage moss and 30-30 winchester are for Last edited by BigBlockBabe; 02-18-2004 at 08:15 PM. |

sounds like the attitude of a 15 year old to me
so you own a computer company AND build motors since you were 12....allright, so? you obviously came on here to either brag or cause trouble, which we don't need on this board. If you dislike the comments you know where the close button is (or you should) |
