how is it possible??

my 496 with brodix heads are leaking oil. and from both sides of each head and from the same place in the rear of the block.the leak is about 1/2 inch on the bottom of each head towards the back wear the head begins to curve up. i used arp with the proper sealers. my plugs arent foul and my coolant is green. there is no oil galleys at the bottom just up top right?? also it only leaks when the car is at operating temp.the cold seal is good. nothing else leaks. i used fel pro baby gasket.i dont get it were its coming from. after i park the car i get under an can clearly see a slow leak coming from the head. any ideas?? im thinking of changing the gasket.

1) are you positive it isn't the valve cover leaking, fresh oil on aluminum heads can be hard to see?
2) did you put the heads on in the vehicle and get the proper torque in back?

3)initially if the gasket was bad or improper torque the coolant would leak first since its the closest to the outer edge, but strange things can happen, but for both heads in same spot probably not

4) check your rear intake gasket make sure it didn't get moved or sucked in engine partially

5) check the area for the oil pressure sending unit to make sure it isn't leaking

Ive had the same problem. Only mine was coming from the rear seal of the intake manifold. Not enough sealant with the combo of me being impatient and not letting dry for long enough.

Just a thought.....

I put the heads on while the motor was out. I torque down to 70 in three steps. I didn't used the rubber intake gasket. I use silicone. I thought maybe its coming from we're the head, block and intake meet. Could it be possible the leak come from there??But I don't see it coming out and dripping from the side. When I look at the leak I can wipe it the watch it slowly leak.
