How to post a picture (Jon, make this a sticky!)
1. when replying to a post, underneath where you type, there is a little gray box that says "manage attatchments". Click it.

2. A little window will popup and click on a gray square reading "browse". A new window will pop up and here you find the file you want and click "open".

3. This brings you back to the first window that popped up. Repeat up to 2 more times if needed since you can add a maximum of 3 files/pictures.

4. When you have the files you want posted, click "upload". This is to the right of the buttons that say "browse". The files will be uploaded to HR.com if they are not too large.

5. click on "close this window". You will be returned to the screen where your post is typed and all. Click "submit reply" when done.

I keep trying to change the pic provided for me in my profile. I kept changing the size of the image. I made it so small, I couldn't even identify it, yet when I tryed to upload it, I was told it's too large every time. What am I doing wrong?

Anyone else find it odd that pic 3 shows camaro pics but in pis 5 it shows that mustang pics were uploaded?

BTW its about time someone did this. But maybe you should have put in big red arrows, i'm sure some people still wont get it lol

Jon can edit the pics and instructions as he sees fit. I did this for the good of HR.com.

FYI- NEW MEMBERS- To get a custom avatar send the pic you want to, ummm... I don't know what email address it is, but someone ought to provide it.

(I think it's avatars@hotrodders.com... correct me if I'm wrong)

LS6. I still have problems. When I click upload(#4) it never loads. Goes somewhere in no man's land. Would there be something in my computer that is not turned on with a check mark?

Same here jax. I have tried numerous times to upload to my photo album but keep getting the same "image is too large" message, even when it is shrunk so small you can't even see it. HELP PLEASE!!

Anyone can post pictures, you must be doing something wrong....

To add a custom avatar, you must send a picture, any size, Jon will edit it, to

Jon's a busy guy, he has to keep the site clean and free of porn and illegal peddlers and fix little bugs and problems, answer questions, and still somehow find time to turn some wrenches.

Rumor has it he's working on improving the website software, which, having experience with modifying GTAiii (grand theft auto 3) for pc and a few games on my old graphing calculator in high school, programming is not a terribly quick and easy process, especially if one is going for reliability too.
p.s. this really should be made a sticky, or added to faqs.
