How much lift do you want? Do you want it permanently? Is it to clear big skins or just for a '60s 'rake'? Re-arched springs is the most elegant and engineering-wise sound approach for a permanent rake. Adding leaves will only make the ride stiffer w/o much raise unless you re-arch all the leaves. If you decide to add leaves only add long ones, this will give you a relatively softer ride. Short leaves stiffen the ride significantly. Obviously, air shocks are the best approach for an occasional nose-down stance. How you do it primarily depends on what you final goal is.
