how to replace rear shocks

so i need to replace bolth rear shocks on my 85 grand prix. thare are co connceted to the frame. just need to know procedure. im assuming jack up the read end. remove the not and bolths from bolth side. push the sompress the rod so i can get it out pop the new ones in bolth um up...sounds too easy..anyone know?

Yup, that's pretty much all you have to do. You should only have to lift the rear at the frame/body to get clearance. In other words, don't lift it at the differential. You should be able to compress the shock by hand to fit it in the mounts.

Always use jackstands, of course.
