Doc here,

The best tip , is beg, borrow , or steal a Factory Manual..and follow it religiously..

Use Magnetic Tools..to lower the possibility of losing screws, nuts and bolts in an unreachable body crevasse, as well as place shop rags around the body at the bottom of the well, to catch anything dropped..

Be sure the harness and plugs are not getting pinched, cut, or have dirty or loose pins..burnish the body side harness (the old one) Pins so they are clean and make good contact.

Be sure your motor ground is properly bonded, burnish the paint from the area, use a star washer, and lock washer, and be sure it is tight..99% of window failures are bad motor grounds..

If it requires the glass be removed, REMEMBER the angles you used to get it free..and duplicate when putting it back in..don't try to force it, it will explode in your hands..wear safety glasses while doing it..

Doc

As Doc said, GET A MANUAL!! If you can't borrow, beg or steal one.see if the local library has one. They wont let it leave the building, but you can copy what you need. Done this more then once, believe me. I tape plastic over any opening where something might get dropped, can't rely on a manet all the time, too much "crap metal" in the newer vehicles.
