How should I reduce 2k urathane primer?

I am using Nason Urethane primer and it mixes 4:1. However, I have to mix it a little thinner to spray out of my gun, I'm gonna get another gun or a 1.6 or 1.8 tip just for primer work soon. However I need to primer a bare metal hood tomorrow. I have always used the reducer/activator to reduce it more to like 4:2. I was told the other day, maybe I should reduce it with lacquer thinner. Would that be OK? Is the extra reducer/activator causing any harm? I know it lays down real good, and still blocks out easily.

Another question, I was getting some paint to paint my wheels with a few weeks ago and I was in the paint room, and they just have 1 set of colors for both the PPG and OMNI paint. I told him I wanted the OMNI and he mixed it using the PPG labeled colors. So, wouldn't that mean that PPG and OMNI are the exact same? Or am I overlooking something?

Thanks

i would get the same reducer as belongs in thge mix, you can over reduce to get a thinner mix.. it just gases away anyway. as for omni and ppg yes they are owned by ppg so just a lower line for ppg.
