How to strip rubber bumpers / bumper covers

I am planning on repainting my 1997 Firebird, which includes metal panels, fiberglass panels, and rubber nose and bumper. Is there a stripper that is safe to use on all of these surfaces? Most of the car has only the factory finish, so maybe stripping it is unnecessary. But there is buildup on the nose, which has already been repainted, and perhaps the rear bumper.

Thanks in advance for sharing your tips.

They do make a special stripper for bumper covers but I havent liked any of it ,I usually buy a new aftermarket cover .if yours is repainted chances are you have aftermarket covers and its not worth stripping them. They probably dont need to be stripped if they arent cracked just sand and paint them ...The rest of the car might not need to be stripped with only one or two paint jobs....why do you think it needs stripping???
