HEY STONEY: I do not know about your area but around here most of the auto parts stores have a test fixture for running alternators. They have the ability to spin a normal running RPM and you should be able to have it checked out dynamically for free. Or look under Auto Electrics in phone book, they could also check it out for you....GOOD LUCK...DAVE
