how to tell the differance from a 351M&400M

I have an M class engine and was wondering how to tell what I have? 351M or 400M? Is there a casting number on the outside that would be differant from each engine?

The only way to tell that I know of is to pull a plug and check the stroke height. There is no visual difference externally between the two.
