Post How-To's

I would just like to let everyone in need of autobody or interior how-to's or step by steps know that I will be posting some in my photo album for future refrence. If you have an idea for a how to or step by step or are in need of either and it is not in my album please let me know and I will create one and add it. It will take a few days to add all that I have typed up so be patient. If you have any specific interior question please direct them to Vintage because he is a trained professional that does very good work. Any question relating to autobody or metal customizing I am fully prepared to answer.

ROYS 63 to install a headliner you at home you will need glass out, buy a good quality headliner, (beleive it or not J>C>Whitney offers a very good line) you will need a good hot hair dryer,3M high tack trim spray glue,a bucket of water with just a squirt of dish soap in it.
install all the bows in the cloth channels of the headliner, do'nt mix em up, center each one from side to side, then take water and a sponge and wet the backside of the vinyl, working toward the outside. leave the outer 6 inches dry. then hang this assembly in the car using the original bow holes. start at the center and work to the sides untill all is smooth, then glue the front and back of the inside roof, starting at the rear stick the headliner to the body, center to sides, keeping it tight. then do the front. clue the body sides and stretch the material from the middle to each side and glue, when you get this all done if there are any small wrinkles in the liner use the hair dryer and care fully head around the wrinkle it will go away, because you are shrinking the vinyl backing which was wet.
