quite often like I have stated before,I use a tighter LDA and lower ICL on a smaller engine. The BB needs a wider LDA especially when building a 532 or that type of engine.(big bore moderate stroke,high revving).The blower engines are like bigger engines.
Scandi,you didnt mention what happens to the idle quality with a low ICL and narrow LDA

do you mean lika Thumpper cam design?

use a thumper cam idle sound and compare that idle to a new corvette Z-06 idle.
put the stats side by side and explain why the big cam has a smooth idle and the small cam sounds like a race car,,,,
not wanting to get this thread off topic,just stating that specs are more than random numbers and sound does not tell the story.
more over lap Vs less
closing the intake early Vs late
How to make more top end Vs low end
BB requirements Vs sb
handicaps from limited head flow(thumpr cam territory)
etc
