How To Wire A Subwoofer ???

is there a way to wire ONE single coil subwoofer to an amplifier that does not have a mono sub out jack?
I think I've seen a simple to build solution to combine the 2 channels into one, does anybody have a diagram?
please help.
thanks
Augusto.

To bridge two channels into one sub, just run the positive lead to the positive post on channel one, and the negative lead to the negative post on channel two. Simple as that! Make sure that if your amp has a crossover built-in, that you set it for low pass. Otherwise your sub will be trying to reproduce the entire frequency range, and sound crappy. I used to have a subwoofer/tube setup hooked up just like this in a '87 Firebird, and it woorked great. Eventually ended up with a custom fit box with 2-10's for the same car.

no no, use ONLY the pos from channel one and ONLY the neg from channel two. this wouldn't work for say, a woofer or midrange speak, but for a sub it works fine.
